Truckninjas
An original project by performers: Ana Bakšić, Ivana Bešker, Barbara Crnčen, Ivana Grubišić, Maja Krčelić, Ana Milić Štrkalj, and Iva Peter-Dragan.
Every day, we are stifled by three obstacles — weakness, fear, and a lack of self-confidence… How do we deal with them, and how do we overcome them? Should we even try? Or should we accept things as they are and simply not hide that fear, that weakness — showing only as much confidence as is actually there… Flipping the perspective, revealing the invisible…
We will certainly try, in a rather raw, acrobatic way, exposing to view what we don’t usually see in the acrobatic world: the straps (gurtne) that hold us up…. Because the women within us are not the weaker sex!
*The performance was created based on the testimonies of many women surrounding us, of various ages and from all walks of life.
