Conference-show on the genesis of circus clowns
Joanna Bassi guides us through the history of circus clowns, also by going through her own family archives. With photo projections, posters and films dating back to the 19th century, it shows that for every era and against all cynicism, clowns remain the last innocents. An opportunity for the audience to take a glimpse into private album of a famous clown family and get to know the clown’s crucial role in unifying not only humans of different cultures, but humans in different moments of history!
