Former Cirque du Soleil workshop director and principal artist of Slava’s Snow show, renowned clown Jef Johnson presents his own play, AZAR. In Spanish, AZAR means RANDOM and the show celebrates the unknown and explores spontaneous creative experience found in every man in any culture… This basically human characteristic is often being suppressed and creativity is denied… As one critique of the show says: ”We must learn again to discover the beautiful wonder of life.
This work draws its inspiration from fragments, the clown’s state of wonder and ideas of perception. It is a philosophical work.”
