Places we toured during the first half of 2025

And so, first half of the year 2025 is already behind us! Some would note that we are now closer to 2050 than to 2000… however, we will not summarize the previous 25 years because that text would be far too long! Instead, we will look back at the Triko Circus Theatre’s guest performances in the first six months of this year – exactly which shows and where did we perform outside of our city, from Lekenik all the way to India!

1. The Maid – our year started with a bang, right at the very beginning of February we presented Croatian contemporary circus and theatre in India, at the Ang Natya Yagya festival, where we had the honor, as participants who traveled from the most distant country, along with the mayor, to officially open the festival. We didn’t return from India empty-handed: our actress Ivana Bešker won the award for best character actress at the festival, and artist Matko Šišak won the award for best performance at the Fire Festival!

   

2. Internet Geniuses – February and March were the months when our Geniuses had a mini tour of central and eastern Croatia! The play, which was created through the cooperation of the Association of Learning Partners and the Google.org platform, was performed for children of schools in Petrinja, Popovac and Piškorevci, and was also seen by more than 50 children from the SOS Children’s Village Lekenik

   

3. Draft Cabaret – “brought theatrical magic and delighted the audience…” in Knin in May and in Vitez (BH) in June. And, as a review said: “In a packed hall, laughter, emotions and music intertwined in a unique theatrical experience that delighted everyone present.”

   

4. Bivak – Spring brought beautiful weather, so to make the most of it, we were thrilled to perform outdoors together with Cirk Pozor: in Velika Gorica as part of Goričke večerje, in Slovenski Hrastnik at Rdeče revirje and in Križevci at Kufer festival

   

5. A Story in the Air – is just one of four plays we performed at the International Children’s Festival in Šibenik, a festival that was held throughout Dalmatia this year, so we performed acrobatics not only in Šibenik, but also in Zablaće and Knin

   

Thank you to everyone who came to see any of these performances — and there were sooo many of you, both near and far! As for us, we’ll do our best to make the second half of this year at least as exciting as the first!
