A Quick Retrospective of the Second Half of 2025

December is a time of Christmas markets, receptions, and festive gatherings, but also a time for reflection. In numbers, our last six months look like this: 5 festivals, 2 premieres, 2 local tours, and one around the world (Tour de monde ;)!

Our look back at the past half year – by sheer coincidence, just like the first half of 2025 – begins in India!

  1. Our (and) Palunko’s Wife performed at the third edition of the Bhullung-Bhuthur International Theatre Festival (BBITF) in Guwahati, Assam, India.

  2. After returning from India, a series of performances of Bivak followed, both abroad and at home. Some of these performances took place at the Ridi Pagliaccio Festival in Mantua and at the Kulturan ulični festival (KUF) in Zagreb and Sisak.

  3. As every year, we were ogres, fairies, wizards, witches, and other mystical beings at the unmissable Perunfest in Donja Lomnica

  4. Jesen na Jarunu (Autumn at Jarun) was rich and successful! We have already written about it in detail, and you already know that the final part of the program – Jarun priča (Jarun tells stories) – extends into winter. But what you don’t know is that one more fragment of that Autumn will surprise you on a Saturday in the new year at the Jarun marketplace – so to be safe, it’s best to go shopping at the market every Saturday!

  5. Like any city far and wide known for its street fairs, Turin is an ideal place for networking and socializing with colleagues. The Pagliacce Festival thus became the center of the clowning world for several days in October, and everyone present kept asking about our Zagreb Clown Festival, which they are eagerly looking forward to visiting!

  6. On 30th November, we premiered the performance TOUR DE MONDE or Why Travel the World! Judging by the reactions of our youngest audience members, this long-awaited preschool production is a real hit! Word is spreading through kindergartens…

  7. Mjesni boravak, a tour organized by Novi prostori kulture (New spaces of culture), took us to local community councils no fewer than six times! In Zagreb’s neighbourhoods, you had the chance to see Forget About Dulcinea in November and Tour de monde in December.

  8. Less than a week after the premiere, we breathed life into yet another new production – Clown and the Star, which premiered on St. Nicholas Day at Mažuranac, organized by the Association of Craftspeople of the City of Zagreb, as the central part of that event.

  9. And to finish, one Christmas markets tour: Ivanec, Poklon in Učka Nature Park, Rijeka, Konjščina, Dragonožec, and Brezovica – places where we listened to Christmas songs together, while delighting you on high stilts, from inside a bauble, from the stage, through workshops, and by dancing with fire.

Behind us is a joyful and successful year! In this festive holiday season, we wish you – and ourselves – a well-deserved rest, so that the new year can be even happier and more successful, because… 2026 is a celebratory year in which TRIKO CIRCUS THEATRE celebrates a big jubilee – first 15 years with you!
