Spanish duo Cía. La Buffa will surely knock you off your feet with their play about (good) sisterly relationships NI FÚ, NI FÁ. The play, in addition to sisterly ones, questions many relationships that are imposed on us by birth, and not by our own choice… It asks the question of whether it is wise to break off all relationships or still find the strength and maintain them…
The Buffa sisters take us on a true journey
through the most primal of sibling relationships.
A constant tug‑of‑war between affection and
annoyance, love and dispute.
Sometimes, trust can be disgusting.
This piece is a search for new forms of female
humor dramaturgy.
The ugly can be beautiful, funny, and tender.
La Buffa speaks of conflict, borders, and wars
through a uniquely personal—and
unapologetically buffoonish—lens.
