The first performance of this year’s festival is coming from Spain. In his play hÔy, Carlo Mô breaks the fourth wall, as clowns do, and raises the question of personal confinement within the space we call home and the perception of time that is defined by seconds, minutes, days…

Since the beginning of time, man has been looking for shelter in order to survive, and over time, that place has become home. Home is not just four walls, but above all what is lived, what has been experienced or what will be lived within them. In this adventure, Carlo Mô carries only a doormat while searching for his home – past, present or future. Mô is looking for his place, but what is important is not just the place, but the time he spends there: hours, minutes, seconds. But… why does a minute last exactly 60 seconds and not 70? And a day 24 hours and not 20? And a week 7 days and not 10? If time is a human construct, when is the past or the future, yesterday or tomorrow? The only certainty is today… or is it not?

In this piece, Mô continues to use his unique understanding of clowning, based on gesture, the poetics of the absurd, innocence and madness, to share with us a journey about the passage of time, home, family, companionship and loneliness that shape our past, present and future.

The performance is on the ZCF program on Thursday, 7 May 2026 at 19:30 at Triko Cirkus Studio.
