In 2026, Triko Cirkus Teatar, in collaboration with Triko Cirkus Studio, opens its doors to projects from the independent circus scene by providing rehearsal space and artistic support.
Two independent groups will be selected through an open call.
The primary aim of this residency program is to support development, collaboration, and networking with circus groups and organizations. We offer what we have – a fully equipped space suitable for acrobatics, rehearsals, and performances. Our focus will mainly be on emerging artists, to whom we will provide professional support in the creative process, as well as in the production and distribution of newly created performances.
With this project, Triko Cirkus Teatar aims to support independent groups, as it is well known that there is a lack of rehearsal spaces (especially for circus and acrobatic performances). We wish to become a home for new projects and young artists who are at the beginning of their careers and who can benefit from our production and artistic experience.
At this stage, the project provides rehearsal space and artistic support only; unfortunately, we are not able to cover accommodation or travel costs.
The plan for this year is to host two residencies, which will be selected through an open call.
