Cabaret (German Kabarett < French cabaret: a small stage for topical, socially critical performances < Middle Dutch cabret, cambret: a tavern or inn) is a small variety theatre featuring a program of songs, dance numbers, and humorous, satirical sketches. It originated in 19th-century French clubs and inns.<\/p>\n

As for us, from the clown-philosophical section “Propuh” (The Draft), we are most intimately critical toward ourselves. We have brought our own fears, hopes, failures, and triumphs to light, sticking to the motto: What else to do but sing! Or dance. In this cabaret, the stage opens its arms to welcome you all. Both the audience and the performers are “Propuhs” \u2014 one and the same. These “Drafts” aren’t something that ripens every year like a peach; they are extraordinary, unique, never-before-seen, and uncompromisingly themselves.<\/p>\n
