CESCA was created as a result of the need to provide local performing artists with the opportunity for continuous and structured circus education. Namely, apart from occasional professional circus skills workshops, there is no place in Croatia where professional performing artists or those who intend to become one can decide to pursue circus as their main performing style. This education centre is exactly such a place. Our many years of experience in contemporary circus, international operations, and theatre production in this particular performance style give us legitimacy in starting such a professional circus academy.<\/p>\n

Through 6 modules, expert lectures and work on your own project, CESCA will open the door to basic circus skills for participants, which we divide into three main groups: 1. Aerial acrobatics, 2. Object manipulation and juggling, and 3. Clown expression.<\/p>\n

We believe that these three skill groups, as well as dramaturgy and production workshops, cover the basic features of contemporary circus. In addition to basic skills education, CESCA will also offer artistic leadership in terms of developing an artistic project and mastering production skills. Cooperation with world-class pedagogues will open the possibility of education aimed at excellence and professionalism.<\/p>\n

This education represents a completely new approach to circus education, which is not random and occasional, but systematic and continuous.<\/p>\n

We believe that CESCA, due to the provision of a specific type of education and its systematization, will become a central place in Croatia and the countries of the former Yugoslavia for the education of professional contemporary circus artists, and thus strengthen the local circus and performance offer.<\/p>\n
